“Photobooth, photobooth, photobooth PLEASE”, said the 12 year old girl to her mother and us as we took her picture. She was one of many pre-teen girls and boys at the February Mitvah Palooza training class at Congregation Beth Israel.

Erik and I were there to demonstrate how we enhance the celebratory meal and party following the B’nei Mitzvah service. Family, friends, and members of the community get together to share in the special day and it’s a very emotional and joyous time for everyone in attendance.

We capture these beautiful moments tastefully by creating a fun and welcoming environment for all guests, young and old, to take some really great photos. We try very diligently to interact relevantly with each group. Whether it’s a formal portrait shot or a crazy jumping shot, we help everyone engage in the night’s festivities. We help pose people, we originate pose ideas based on quick intuitive assessments of each group. We provide 2,000 plus props along with custom backdrops and projector photo slideshows of photos as they are being taken. As Jemi Mansfield said, “You bring the Fun!’

A Bar or Bat Mitzvah (beginning at age 13) celebrates the child’s first reading from the Torah before the Congregation. Preparation starts with a meeting among the family, the rabbi and the educator. Congregation Beth Israel has a two-year curriculum for their B’nei Mitzvah students, with includes Hebrew, Jewish Studies and Tikkun  Olam.

We’ve been noticing a trend in Portland and Seattle where high school students are  wanting a more modern, exciting photography arrangement for students than the traditional prom photographer. Many kids go with groups and want to take crazy fun shots as well as the traditional prom formals.

That’s where we are coming in with our trend setting paparazzi-style open air photo booths.  By creating a fun party buzz and instant excitement with our high capacity photo booth printing systems, everyone gets instant gratification by caring away copies of their photos instantly and using the digital copies for social networking sites.

One red backdrop set-up and one apple green set-up highlighted by red carpet approaches and red velvet ropes and poles set the scene for this Portland Oregon high school winter semi-formal dance.

We printed black and white from one photo booth and full color with a red backdrop from the second photo booth.

Red is our signature color….since Portland is the city of roses.

A Western Hoe-Down was the theme for all the Uplands Middle School kids and their parents. We had a large ghost town set to shoot our open-air paparazzi style photo booth shots. We took 4 pictures 4 seconds apart and printed out immediately and watched with joy as the kids ran to their friends with their pics. We brought props like you’ll see in the shots below. A great time was had by all….(no stick ponies were injured in the shooting of these pictures).

When Tara asked us to bring our photo booth, Paparazzi Tonight, to her wedding, we knew it was going to be a ridiculously well done event. And it was. But to say that Tara knows how to plan the perfect wedding reception doesn’t nearly come close to doing her justice. She knows how to laugh and how to love. We were so honored to be included with all her favorite vendors…making her wedding night truly special.

Before we shot Tara & Todd’s wedding, we knew Tara only as the Catering Director and “planner-behind-the-scenes” at the Oregon Golf Club. We have worked with her extensively during many other weddings throughout her tenure at OGC. She does know how to throw a party!

Tara loved the photo guest album we put together on-site and had all her guests sign as they were getting their wedding favor prints.  Tara told us “The guest album is AWESOME. It’s been looked through a hundred times already and everyone loves it. Thank you guys so much.”

Well, we’ll tell you….THOUSANDS!!

The 2010 Portland Bridal Show was a huge success for us as a photo booth rental company serving all markets from Seattle to Bend. We met brides from all over the country…most planning destination wedding in this beautiful land we call home.

We showcased our set up in a large 10′ by 20′ booth using Tiffany blue as our photo booth backdrop color and decor accent color. (We have over 50 colors to choose from as well as custom printed such as Hollywood step & repeats).

Brides and grooms as well as family and friends were able to take their photos and their prints immediately as well as being able to download the digital images for Facebooking, emailing, etc. We brought props such as bridal veils, ostrich and feather boas, hearts and custom “Save” “the” “date” letters. Brides and grooms would take one picture while holding “SAVE” letters, one with “the” letters, one with “date” letters and lastly a candid shot of kissing, smiling, or holding a flower bouquet.

All photos were wirelessly sent to a 50 inch plasma monitor visible to all who attended the fashion shows.

We were honored to be included into the Portland Bridal Show as very few vendors are able to gain acceptance each year….Thank you Al

We had so much fun at our wedding reception.  I can’t count the number of times I heard “this is such a great idea” that night.  One guest (age late 70’s) told us it was the funnest reception that he had ever been to.  I received emails from guests that very night thanking us for the fun night along with numberous comments the remainder of the weekend.  You have created a very appealing entertainment product.  My very favorite comment came from a 12 year old girl full of smiles who told me “This is exactly what I am going to do when I get married”.  You’d better hang around 10-15 years so she can acheive her dream.  With your help we were able to provide a party as unique and fun as the groom and bride are….

Now for some examples of the photo booth print outs. We shoot 4-shot 4-seconds apart and print the whole series on the fastest printers on the market. As many people as are in the shot receive prints as wedding favors. Guests can return as often as they wish. We provided all the props for the wedding. There’s nothing like a real, vintage fedora to get grandpa to take a picture.

We were amped to be the Portland event photo booth photographers at a recent Nike Action Sports’ party jammin’ to turntables being spun with vintage vinyl.

Skateboard sports culture was on tight display at this “secret” ultra-cool Nike indoor skate park. Nike employees were throwin heat in the pools and pockets.

We built the brick wall, graffitied industrial road barrier backdrop on site. It was the perfect Paparazzi Style Photo Booth backdrop.

Nike provided the artwork and we designed a simple overlay to fit the vibe of the corporate party.

We brought a zillion hats….i.e. vintage band leader, velvet sombreros, our perennial favorite Mr. Spock….(We have 2,000 original props & we fabricate unique ones too!)

The photos were uber awesome and everyone left with at least 10 different prints of their 4-ups.

WHAT AN AWESOME WAY TO BRAND YOUR CORPORATE EVENT!! THESE PHOTO WILL BE SAVED ON REFRIGERATORS & CUBICLES FOR YEARS!

Also, we had 24,000 downloads and picture views in the first 48 hours the gallery was online…..Social marketing is amazing!!

Erik and I had such a wonderful time hanging with Tualatin High School students at their winter formal. They had such great energy and were there to enjoy themselves while at the same time wanting to make fantastic memories.

For the event, we brought a ton of props generally oriented around “winter” themes. We brought off the wall props too….and inherently, they were the most popular….such as an AVATAR Na’vi Dire horse as well as a dinosaur action creature featured in the first four-up below. For the blog, we’ve shown the photos as they print out.

One remarkable advantage to using us as photo entertainment at an event is our zoom capabilities. We are able to zoom in tight for couples wanting a close up, zoom down for children, as well as zoom out for large groups. The photographer at the event works with everyone on each shot to get the final result each group wants. We still shoot 4 shots 4 seconds apart so we keep the traditional photo booth adrenaline run that we all love so much.

As always, all photos are available for download next day. For this event, per request, we placed a password on the gallery so only those “in the know” can see the photos.

We found ourselves Friday, January 8, at The Nines capturing the festivities and the achievements of Frito Lay’s western division. Sales people came from nine states to celebrate their successes from 2009.

We took a lot of large work group shots and printed out copies for each person in the shot. For corporate events, it really helps team building to get 10-15 people in one shot and then to work together to take 4 shots 4 seconds apart. Everyone has to ham it up and play around. At this particular function, there were several of the top executives leaving Oregon getting promotions to Frito Lay headquarters in Plano, Texas. This was the last chance to get photos with them and capture some great memories in a corporate photo give-away they could put in their office or on their home frig. Wild Bill’s also entertained with casino games and a fun game of trivia.

Another fun party idea from this event was a contest shot. The meeting planner from Frito Lay had us take a “make a muscle” shot with each couple. They’ll have an inter-office competition to decide the winner. Here are some examples:

December 31, 2009 found us at two of the coolest New Year’s parties in Portland. The Champagne Ball at the Hilton Executive Tower and The Nines’ New Year’s Bash themed after Johnny Depp’s upcoming movie, Alice in Wonderland. (See next post for pics from “Through the Looking Glass.”)

1000+ Portlanders attended the Champagne Ball this year. We had two paparazzi-style photo station set ups in the Grand Ballroom. We offered all night packages so everyone could get pictures and print outs as often as they wished. As of today, we’ve had over 12,000 picture views and free hi-res downloads from the website gallery. Paparazzi Tonight rocked the house with our unique paparazzi photo booth photos…Happy 2010!
